Dr Gupta qualified from the University of Sheffield. She has been working in Sexual Health and HIV since 2004.
She is the Clinical Lead of Rotherham Sexual Health Services. The service was highly commended at the national BMJ awards in 2021, in the Women’s Health category for contraception provision. She is a member of the British HIV Association Guideline Committee.
She is passionate about medical education and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer. She has been invited to teach on nationally recognised courses, such as the Sexually Transmitted Infection Foundation Course and British Association of Sexual Health HIV masterclass.
She has co-authored chapters in medical textbooks, including the ABC of Sexually Transmitted Infections and the internationally acclaimed Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology. She has also written articles for Prescriber journal, on the management of STI’s in primary care.
She is married to a GP and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys singing and musical theatre.
